One of the world's most influential guitarists, Joe Satriani, is set to make a live appearance at The Star Performing Arts Theatre come Nov. 13.
The true blue guitar hero will be dropping by Singapore as part of his 2014 Unstoppable Momentum Tour together with his touring band in celebration of his titular fourteenth album and his recently released book Strange Beautiful Music: A Musical Memoir, along with a career retrospective box set featuring all fourteen of his studio releases from 1986 till today.
Satriani's impact on modern rock music is a monumental testament to his legacy. Counting other guitar icons Steve Vai and Kirk Hammett (of Metallica) as his students Satriani is universally hailed as one of the most technically accomplished and respected guitar players in rock. His reputation goes far and wide, being sought after by rock legends such as Deep Purple and Rolling Stones' Mick Jagger. Despite numerous critically acclaimed solo albums, DVDs and sold-out concerts, retirement doesn't seem to be in the plans for him as he continues to make music and perform live for his fans all around the world.
