A total of 88 drug offenders were arrested In an island-wide operation conducted in the last two days by the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB).
According to the authority, $147,000 worth of drugs — cannabis, ecstasy, heroin, methamphetamine and nimetazepam — were seized during the operation.
A bust made at Commonwealth yesterday hauled in the most drugs. A 28-year-old male drug trafficker was found have stashed 1,440 grams of heroin, 750 grams of cannabis and various drug paraphernalia at his hideout. His drug stockpile had an estimated street value of more than $125,000.
The operation was conducted in areas including Ang Mo Kio, Bukit Batok East, Chai Chee, Commonwealth, Jurong West, Simei, Tampines and Woodlands.
