Bubbly's not liquidating after all.
According to Tech in Asia, the voice-based social media app is being acquired by India-based Altruist for an undisclosed sum.
The move will see over 180 million BubbleTalk users across Asia, India and the Middle East, added to Altruist's existing wide database of users.
Dheeraj Aggarwal, co-founder of Altruist , says, “With more than 1,000 superstar celebrities active on its platform across Asia, India and the Gulf, Bubbly has the right ingredients to fuel exponential growth.”
Bubbly’s existing investors, who previously were in favour of liquidating the startup business, have stated in an official statement that they are extremely confident of Bubbly, and will remain as shareholders after the Altruist acquisition.
