BBC Travel has listed Singapore as one of the world's most visited cities, probably the youngest when compared to other entries like Bangkok, Dubai, London and Paris.
The article by Lindsey Galloway names the Changi Airport, Geylang, Robertson Quay and the Singapore Botanic Gardens ("Singapore's own Central Park according to Expat Living's Amy Greenburg) as some favourite places to frequent in the city, which turned 49 years old in early August.
Galloway however cites overcrowding as a possible con of visiting Singapore. Long-term resident Jayant is quoted as saying he avoids Orchard Road because it's "too busy", despite the shopping strip's reputation as one of the best in the world. Photo: Tan Rou Ying; Coconuts Singapore
