Live music, spoken word and improv comedy at Lit Up festival in SeptemberThe sixth edition of arts festival Lit Up will take place from Sep. 26 to 28 at the Aliwal Arts Centre. With the theme “Walk the Equator”, the festival’s programme encompasses musical performances from the likes of Fungki Munkees, MONSTER CAT and Seyra, spoken word sessions with Sekaliwags and Party Action People, and the pantomime of Balinese theatre company Kini Berseri. Online fashion retailer Zalora is lending its support with Zalora Nights – a series of performances across two evenings of the festival which features most of its headlining acts. Other events include a flea market and an improvisational comedy workshop. Organised by Word Forward, Lit Up is a ground-up arts festival with a literary-based multi-disciplinary approach towards art. It provides a platform for both established and emerging talents.
