The Bar Council moving out of Outram in SeptemberThe Bar Council – the popular 'molecular cocktail' spot, not the legal body – is moving out of its Outram Road home. The exact location isn't out yet, but founder, industry veteran Mark Tay, says it'll be "nearer to the city" and can accommodate more people — up to 55 to be exact.  The new place should be running in mid-September.  Run by cocktail consultants and educators BarSmiths, The Bar Council serves primarily as a training facility and test lab, but has also built up a following with its mystique and pay-what-you-think-it’s-worth pricing system. Since its launch in 2009, BarSmiths have applied their talents to events like the Audi Fashion Festival, Savour and the Singapore Grand Prix. They’ve also worked with a number of establishments around Asia including Foodbar Dada and Nektar in Singapore.   Mark said that details will only be released closer to the date. The best hint he could give was that it's "nearer to the city" and that the new place can accommodate 50-55 patrons (40 seated and 10 to 15 standing). Reservations will still be required.
