Video: Buskers play at MRT stations in three-month trialWe got our wish, or at least, we're getting there.  The Land Transport Authority (LTA) is partnering with SMRT and the National Arts Council (NAC) to put buskers in train stations as part of a bigger initiative — which includes themed cabins — to jazz up the daily commute.  The three-month trial that started last week will see performers at five MRT stations: Bukit Batok, City Hall, Eunos, Jurong East and Raffles Place.  And don't worry, the music will be good — the buskers would've all gone through auditions and are endorsed by the NAC's Busking Scheme.  According to The Straits Times, buskers will be allowed to perform at selected venues at specific time periods of the day: nn weekdays at Raffles Place and City Hall from 5:30 – 9:30pm, and at Eunos, Bukit Batok and Jurong East from 7:30 – 11:30am. On weekends and public holidays, they can perform between 10am and 9pm at all five stations. Haven't experienced it yet? Here's what to expect — part-time busker and tuition teacher Daniel Beng playing songs like The Platters'"Only You" on his violin at Raffles MRT station:    Photo: Channel NewsAsia
