Top Japanese publisher to set up anime, manga school in SingaporeA top Japanese publisher plans to open a vocational institute for the creation of anime and manga in Singapore by October this year. Another school will be set up in Taiwan around the same time.  Kadokawa's decision announced on Jul. 2, shows its support towards the government's Cool Japan policy, which aims to cultivate the creative industry and promote it throughout Asia.  Kadokawa plans to establish 10 schools altogether, including in Hong Kong, Malaysia and Thailand, by 2016.  According to Crunchyroll, the schools will be managed by its subsidiary the Kadokawa Contents Academy in Tokyo and will each offer five courses to help shape the aspiring animator, manga artist, light novel writer, voice actor and character designer.  The chairman of Kadokawa, Mr. Tsuguhiko Kadokawa, expects the schools will turn out 30,000 graduates in 10 years.
