A multi-agency joint enforcement blitz conducted on June 26 and 27 has resulted in the capture of 85 suspects related to a multitude of criminal offences.
The operation led by the Jurong Police Division and supported by the Traffic Police (TP), Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB), Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) and Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), saw checks conducted on 1,340 people and 164 vehicles in total at the Land Checkpoints, as well as multiple locations in western Singapore.
The suspects were picked up for offences such as being involved in vice activities, drink driving, voluntarily allowing their bank accounts to be used by unlicensed moneylenders, as well as drug and immigration offences.
Drug-related paraphernalia and approximately 44g of heroin were also seized during the two-day operation.
Investigations are still on-going.
