Google takes down blog inciting hate against Filipinos in SingaporeGoogle has removed Blood Stained Singapore, a website on which a post inciting hate against Filipinos in Singapore was discovered.  According to TODAY, the website was taken down because it violated Google's content policy, which states that blogs should not "cross the line by publishing hate speech... content that promotes hate or violence towards groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, disability, gender, age, veteran status or sexual orientation/gender identity".  The takedown was delivered a day after the Philippine embassy in Singapore issued a statement on its website, asking for action to be taken towards the blogger, and is the latest in a string of events hinting at anti-Filipino sentiment in the city-state.  A Philippine Independence Day celebration slated to happen at the Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza was cancelled after organisers reported receiving racial abuse online and anonymous calls demanding the event be made redundant.
