The unabashed ode to '80s rock will run from Aug. 6 to 24 at the Resorts World Theatre, Resorts World Sentosa.
The year is 1987 and a country girl arrives on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood with dreams of hitting the big time. There, she falls in love with an aspiring rocker to a soundtrack of some of the biggest hits of the 80s – “Don’t Stop Believin’” by Journey, “Wanted Dead or Alive” by Bon Jovi and “The Final Countdown” by Europe.
Following its premiere in Los Angeles in 2005, Rock of Ages opened on Broadway in 2009 and has been running ever since, tallying over 2,000 performances. It was nominated for five Tony Awards in 2009, including Best Musical, and was adapted into a film with an all-star cast in 2012.
Shows take place from Tuesdays to Sundays at 8pm with an additional 1pm show on weekends. Tickets are available from $75 through Sistic.
