Award-winning Bangalore chef Abhijit Saha, often lauded as the "Gordon Ramsay of India" is taking his acclaimed brand to Singapore.
The Saha Signature Indian Restaurant & Bar is expected to begin operations this week on the second floor of 9A Duxton Hill, where Russian restaurant Buyan's private dining room used to be.
The entire space, which includes a terrace bar serving Indian-inspired cocktails and tapas, has a capacity of about 62, but the dining area seats 36.
On the menu? A very exciting mix of traditional tastes from the various Indian regions, as well as versions prepared using modern techniques like cryogenic and sous-vide cooking.
According to The Times of India, Saha is backed by Buyan owner and wine investor Ravi Viswanathan, and may, depending on reception, be expanded into a chain business.
