Opening Soon: Co-working space to harness women's powerOpening this month is a co-working women's-only space called Woolf Works. Founder and full-time mother Michaela Anchan was inspired by author and modernist Virginia Woolf, and hopes that this will become a lighthouse for female small business owners, freelancers, writers and bloggers wanting to avoid distractions at home. According to technology and startup news website Tech in Asia, Anchan would like the programming to be fairly female-focused, spotlighting prominent female business leaders and coaches.  That said, she adds that its "no boys policy" does come with exceptions: “I’m not saying anything against men. Instead, I see myself as pro-women.”  Woolf Works is located in Joo Chiat and occupies a 1,500 sq. ft. two-storey shophouse that has a total capacity of about 40 people. Renovations are currently on-going, but you can register your interest on their website.
