At 10:20am yesterday morning, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) was alerted to a rather unusual situation.
A 39-year-old Chinese crane driver had started to feel unwell while operating heavy machinery 40 metres above ground, and had been unable to descend on his own.
Upon arrival at the 12 Whampoa East construction site, SCDF officers proceeded to enter the crane's operator cabin to extract the man.
They secured him with safety lines and a harness before attempting to lower him to safety.
Once the paramedics deemed him safe for transport, the man was taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital for further screening.
No one was injured in the video below.
