Opening this Saturday, May 10 and showing through July 20 at the Centre for Contemporary Arts of Gillman Barracks is No Country, the first touring exhibition of the Guggenheim UBS MAP Global Art Initiative, which charts contemporary arts practices in Latin America, the Middle East, North Africa, South Asia and Southeast Asia.
It premiered in New York at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum from February through May, 2013 and later showed in Hong Kong through February, 2014.
Works by 16 artists from around the world including from Bangladesh, Indonesia and Vietnam, will be on show.
Singapore will be represented by Tang Da Wu's Our Children, a sculpture comprising galvanised steel, glass and milk (top photo; Guggenheim).
