Singapore Airlines (SIA) is about to join the likes of Cathay Pacific and Garuda in introducing the neither-here-nor-there seating category, the premium economy class, to their medium- and long-haul flights.
According to Channel NewsAsia (CNA), this move, which was announced by SIA CEO Goh Choon Pong at the company's fourth quarter and full year earnings briefing earlier today, comes as the carrier undertakes key initiatives compete with other full-service airlines.
CNA also reports that SIA's profits have dropped 60 percent from last year's fourth fiscal quarter.
