“Happiness from the skies” was delivered to migrant workers in Singapore courtesy of Coca-Cola in a viral video promotional stunt released May 5 on Youtube.
Cans of Coke – festooned with messages of thanks from the Singapore Kindness Movement – were carried by drone to these hard-working men, labouring away in skyscrapers.
Surprisingly, the soft drink giant touched on Singapore's sensitive migrant worker issue, calling them “far away from home and isolated from the local community.”
Obviously this is shameless Coca-Cola marketing, but we can't help thinking that this gimmick was pretty cool.
“See everybody getting a coke. We are very, very happy because we're thinking... there's still somebody think about us,” says one worker in the video.
