Video: More live music in the MRT train — is this a cry for help? It's become quite trendy these days for musicians to lug their instruments onto the MRT train and play a ditty or two on their way someplace else. The most recent group to have jumped on the bandwagon (or cabin, in this case) is the Lorong Boys, who, armed with violins and a guitar, played a couple of covers for MRT passengers on Monday.   In this video they uploaded on Facebook, three of them are playing a raw rendition of Frankie Valli's "Can't Take My Eyes of You", to the amusement of passengers in the cabin.   (function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_GB/all.js#xfbml=1"; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs); }(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk')); Post by Lorong Boys. SMRT picked it up and wrote on their official Facebook page earlier today: "Music makes the world go round! We really enjoyed the wonder performance by the Lorong Boys and we're glad to see that so many of our passengers enjoyed themselves as well. Just remember: safety first! Please be careful when riding in our trains, we want everyone to enjoy travelling with us" That's really sweet, SMRT, but you get what people are really trying to say, right?  What with these guys, this solo girl, the MRT disco bunny and Mr. Robot over here, it's clear Singaporeans are dying for some entertainment on their commute.  Can't you play some local music in between station announcements or something?
