![Maifest 2014 happening in Singapore for third year running]()
Lovers of German beer, food and music won't have to wait till Oktoberfest to break out their lederhosen; Erdinger is celebrating Maifest 2014 at Clarke Quay on May 9 — 10.
Maifest is traditionally held to toast the arrival of spring in Germany and this is the third year that the festival will be held in Singapore.
German band Ois Easy will be returning to town to play some classic drinking music and a maypole will be put up for festivalgoers to take part in traditional maypole dancing.
Erdinger Urweisse, a spicy, seasonal brew, will be served to go along with typical German fare like pork knuckle, pork belly, bratwurst and sauerkraut prepared by Beer Market, Fern & Kiwi, Mulligan's Irish Pub and Restaurant, and Shiraz.
The event will run from 7 — 11pm on both nights and admission is free. For more information, visit the Erdinger Singapore Facebook page.
