Trouble's been seemingly brewing between Dr. Lee Wei Ling — daughter of the late founding prime minister Lee Kuan Yew — and Singapore Press Holdings since last week, but the conflict's now getting hung out in public.

A regular columnist at The Straits Times, Dr. Lee's musings have always been a monthly highlight for the newspaper, with narratives that offer intimate, personal glimpses into the life of Lee Kuan Yew — a softer side of which folks rarely see.

Charging $22 for each 90ml bottle of cough syrup, a doctor who practised in Bedok's Temasek Clinic and Surgery dispensed his drugs under the counter, aiding 30 addicts in their slumps for nine months.

46-year-old Dr Liew Kert Chian supplied the codeine-laced medication without keeping a proper record — reports of the sales were first made in pencil and later erased. The Singapore Medical Council has since sentenced him to a years' suspension, censure and a fine of $5,000.

A total of 266 litres of Procodin Syrup and 11.4 litres of Beacodyl Syrup were unaccounted for — all of which were noted to be sold in a systemic ploy from January to October 2011.

Cops were alerted to the incident at Block 508 along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 8 yesterday when the man refused to open his door to officers from the Central Narcotics Bureau, The Straits Times reports.

Watch: Hearts break island-wide as poster boy for police anti-crime campaign gets married

He's been spotted by supermarkets, outside retail shops and in numerous malls. Over 800 cardboard standees of Assistant Superintendent Ryan Koh have popped up across the island since 2014, making him the face (and body) of the anti-crime campaign by the Singapore Police Force. Many have swooned over the good-looker, and many potential crimes have been stopped (we hope).

Alas, it looks like the 33-year-old is officially off the market. On Saturday afternoon, he got hitched to his new bride, Sabrina, at St Andrew's Cathedral, prompting many netizens to offer their congratulations to the happy couple. Some even cracked jokes about his fame, with comments like, 'STOP! In the name of love', and 'The only crime that the bride committed was stealing his heart'.

Filipino multinational fast-food chain Jollibee is making jolly baes of us all — the growing demand for their homely fried chicken, spaghetti, palabok and more have pushed them to open two more outlets in Singapore.

With two outlets alone in Lucky Plaza (for obvious reasons) the brand has expanded beyond the city with one in Changi City Point and one in Square 2 Novena. "Our unique style of preparing our bestselling Chickenjoy was very well-received here; crunchy and juicy fried chicken enjoyed with tasty gravy is a hit with local palates," said Jollibee Food Corporation's Vice President for International Markets Dennis M. Flores.

"We are delighted to further extend our presence in Singapore to further bring the joy of eating to more families. "

Hit the lights, 'cause pop princess Selena Gomez is scheduled to stop by our shores as part of her Revival Tour in July. It's a welcome announcement, given her many disappointed fans when she cancelled her 2014 concert here to spend time on herself and be the best person she could be. We sure hope she's achieved that this time round, 'cause the heart wants what it wants, and that is to see her live in concert.

Oh, and just like her bestie, Taylor Swift, this gig is sponsored by Cornetto. That means Selenators can look out for a limited edition Cornetto Royale Red Velvet and an exclusive Cornetto Royale Chocoluv wrapped in Gomez's Revival Tour packaging. Plus, splurge on multi-packs or minis and you might get the chance to win merch like tees and bags, and maybe even snag meet and greet and concert tickets.

The stars of The Huntsman: Winter's War made quite a spectacular splash yesterday night when they graced the red carpet at Universal Studios Singapore (USS) for the Asian premiere of their film.

Huntsman stars Chris Hemsworth, Charlize Theron, Jessica Chastain gave the USS the glitz and glamour it needed to promote the sequel to the grimdark retelling of Snow White. Out of all the Hollywood veterans however, it seems like Chastain was the one who had the most fun checking out the sights around our little red dot, judging from her Instagram posts.

From sari shopping in Little India to visiting the Flower Dome at Gardens by the Bay, the multiple award-winning actress behind Zero Dark Thirty, Interstellar, The Most Violent Year and more made the most of her time in the Singapore leg of her promo tour.

Congrats are in order. Zouk and Ce La Vi are officially proud representations of our little island on DJ Mag's Top 100 Clubs list for 2016. World famous Space Ibiza takes the crowning spot this year, switching places with Green Valley at second place, followed by Amnesia, Pacha Ibiza and Octagon.

Sixth place is none other than Zouk, which saw its ratings go up one slot from 2015, surprising no one. The home to Mambo Jambo has been a consistent top ten in the global poll since 2010, and we're keen to see what happens when it moves to its new digs at Clarke Quay later this year.

Fresh from playing at the prestigious Bowery Ballroom in New York and South by Southwest, Madrid's most coolest garage-pop export Hinds will be taking their ramshackle rock tunes to Singapore this May.

The all-girl quartet (with a penchant of cigarettes, booze and jangly guitars) rose to prominence for their California beach rock-inspired sound, garnering fans hungry for the garage revival sound as well as attention from UK publications. Embarking on a world tour this year, the carefree Spanish ladies will be wandering beyond their Chili Town playing festival shows in Reading and Leeds, Glastonbury, Bestival and more.

Last year, Sarawakian Kho Jabing was granted a stay of execution less than 24 hours before his final walk to the gallows — a temporary reprieve after his lawyer filed a criminal motion.

The news was a much welcomed one to the Malaysian unit of Amnesty International and other activists fighting for clemency.

Today however, the outlook is grim. The 31-year-old was denied in his bid to commute his death sentence; a decision unanimously made by the five-judge Court of Appeal. Kho's date of execution will be decided by President Tony Tan, TODAY reports.

Another day, another asshat cabby caught on dashcam. Like a freaked-out feline, a taxi driver with CityCab reversed so hard in a narrow carpark that a parked car actually lifted off the ground briefly when the yellow cab smashed into it.

Thinking he/she could get away with it, the cab driver dashed away from the scene within a matter of seconds, leaving behind multiple dumbstruck witnesses and a very, very dented car behind in the dust. The grainy quality of the video however makes it hard to discern the offending cab's plate number — but it looks like the folks behind Roads.sg managed to find it. Watch the whole scene unfold in horror below:
