The driver of a taxi that had gotten into an accident with another car along East Coast Road and later crashed into the outdoor area of Georges Mad Bar & Grill, has been arrested.
The incident that happened around 9pm on April 17 left five customers and two restaurant workers injured. The customers were said to have received treatment at the Changi General Hospital.
Restaurant owner David Leong told Channel NewsAsia that the damage from the crash is estimated to be between $30,000 and $40,000.
Georges Mad Bar & Grill continued to operate as usual on April 18, but its outdoor area with a capacity of about 40 customers, remained closed as contractors were still clearing debris.
