In an operation, the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) arrested the leader and runner of an Ice distributing syndicate.
The two men, aged 38 and 40, were arrested at the ground lobby of a hotel in the city area. Officers then went on to seize about 1.1kg of Ice with a street value of $165,000 from their hotel room hideout.
Meant for distribution on the the streets, the drugs were enough to sustain roughly 629 abusers for a week.
Both men may face the death penalty if convicted for drug trafficking.
