This Korean rice porridge product contains bacteria that may cause fatigue, vomitingThe Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority of Singapore (AVA) has recalled the sale of Yangban Korean-made rice porridge with abalone. The porridge product is found to contain a type of bacteria that causes a rare but potentially life-threatening disease called human botulism. Symptoms include blurred or double vision, dizziness, dry mouth, fatigue, nausea, paralysis, respiratory failure and vomiting. AVA advises consumers who have bought the product to discard and not to consume it. Alternatively, consumers can return it to the retailer. Photo: AVA
