STB defends lame promo video, says Filipinos like it

STB defends lame promo videoThe Singapore Tourism Board's (STB) executive director for communications and industry marketing Oliver Chong released a statement today, seemingly defending the promotional video that went viral yesterday just for being unfathomably lame.  In it, Chong explained the video had been produced by Philippine network ABS-CBN catering to the Filipino market. "When shared on STB’s Facebook page for the Philippines," the statement reads, "the video attracted over 3,400 likes in the first week and garnered some 900 comments, largely positive."  Chong also thanked readers for their feedback, acknowledging that some aspects of it could have been done better, before inviting the public to contribute ideas for promoting Singapore to the rest of the world.
