Close to 40 percent of employees here want to retire 10 years before 65, the retirement age set by the government, according to the 2014 Ranstad Award survey. The survey of 6,546 employees revealed that 48 percent of employees would continue to work longer if their workplace offered a more relaxed schedule. 37 percent said they would be motivated to do the same if there was a friendlier atmosphere, while 34 percent cited fewer working hours. Given their propensity to be family-oriented at some point in their careers, female workers (36 percent), are more likely to work longer if they were offered flexible working hours. While employees consider a competitive salary and employee benefits as the most important factors for when choosing an employer, the top three key traits employers look for in their workers are reliability, honesty and sincerity.
