GST Voucher payouts announced for April and July this year

About 800,000 Singaporean HDB households will receive $45m worth of GST Voucher – Utilities-Save (U-Save) rebates in April. This is the second of four GST Voucher – U-Save payments, a household component of the permanent GST Voucher scheme which directly offsets utilities expenses for households, to be given out annually. The first one was paid out in January. Depending on their HDB flat type with smaller flats benefitting more, a payment of $45 — $65 will be given out. Those living in 1- to 2-room HDB flats can offset about three to four months of utilities bills on average with their regular GST Voucher – U-Save, while those living in 3- to 4-room HDB flats can offset up to two months of utilities bills on average. On top of the regular GST Voucher – U-Save rebates, a one-time Special Payment of $45 — $130 will be disbursed to eligible households in July, when the third GST Voucher – U-Save payment is due. The GST Voucher – U-Save Special Payment can on average offset another about three to four months of utilities bills for those living in 1- and 2-room flats, and about one month of utilities bills for those living in 3- to 4-room flats.
