With the electronic parking system (EPS) increasingly becoming the norm at public carparks across the island, Senior Minister of State for National Development Desmond Lee no longer sees the need for those analog paper coupons.
Speaking in Parliament, Lee stated the plan to phase out coupon parking altogether — especially considering 70 percent of public off-street carparks already have EPS gantries installed at entrances and exits.
