To commemorate the 75th anniversary of Singapore falling to the Japanese on February 15, 1942, the National Heritage Board is offering guided tours, a public talk and educational activities for the public to learn about the Japanese Occupation.

The Battle for Singapore event features 49 tour runs to 11 World War II-related sites across the island, including Alexandra Barracks and Pasir Panjang.

If you history buffs think you've seen it all before, sign up for any of this year's four new trails. 'Singapore Occupied' brings you to sites like the Kempeitai (Japanese military police) headquarters, while 'Fort Serapong @ Fort Siloso' leads you around the former Fort Serapong, one of the three forts built at Pulau Blakang Mati in defense of Singapore's waterways.
