In the path towards blazing fast mobile internet speeds, Singtel may have its competitors beat. For now, at least.
Yesterday, it deployed its 450Mbps LTE-Advanced service — the country's fastest mobile network — that's available to all Singtel 4G customers for free.
According to Singtel, it'll deliver up to 50 percent faster download speeds than any other current services, which purportedly enables customers to download a full length hi-def movie in less than two minutes over mobile data. Go ahead and try it out — but only if you want your monthly mobile data quota to burst.
For now, it seems that only those with Samsung Galaxy S7 and Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge (RIP Note 7) can utilise the 450Mbps speeds. Other compatible smartphone models are expected to be launched soon, says Singtel.
