In a narrow escape, an e-scooter user on a pedestrian crossing barely avoided getting hit by a barreling van, thanks to the man's lightning fast reflexes. Even though the green man was flashing, the van never paused for a second, and the e-scooter rider was forced to leap out of harm's way or crash into the moving vehicle.
The near-miss occurred at the junction of Upper Serangoon Road and Hougang Avenue 4, in front of the Nativity Church Centre, and the timestamp showed the footage as recorded on Saturday at 3.20pm.
This incident could've ended in a totally different way if the man wasn't so quick to react. Afterwards, he went to the side of the road and sat down in apparent shock. It is believed that the driver of the van stopped his vehicle to check if the e-scooter user was okay.
