The River Hongbao festival is in its 31st edition, and for the Year of the Rooster, it's attempting to go modern. From the end of January, the floating platform at Marina Bay will be (quite literally) lit.
From the heart-shaped entrance walkway to the main lantern showcase that highlights local landscapes like Jewel Changi Airport and Punggol Eco-town, the fest is set to exude a vibrant atmosphere with its kaleidoscopic colours and larger-than-life installations. Also expect nightly fireworks and laser displays (just in case you missed the NYE pyrotechnics).
