As we say goodbye to 2016, Chinese New Year waits patiently around the corner – coming up at the end of January, it’ll be a pretty early celebration in 2017. For the year of the rooster, the streets of Chinatown will be lined with about 4,000 lanterns – that’s the highest number of handmade ones ever used in a CNY light-up here.
Expect to see Chinatown get lit with lots of chick lanterns, as well as a rooster that towers over onlookers at 12m-tall, 7m-wide and 100m-long.
