A Singaporean cyclist who was recently on his way to work via East Coast Parkway got into an accident when his bicycle chain broke – it caused him to fly over the handle bars and land face down on the ground. As he was wearing a helmet, he managed to escape with a couple scrapes on his elbow and knee.
But what surprised him most was that no other cyclists or passers-by bothered to stop what they were doing and help him. Fortunately, several construction workers nearby rushed to his aid.
The kind migrant workers offered him food and drinks, and helped to clean his wounds. They even attempted to fix his bike chain so he could cycle back to his home in Pasir Ris.
