The news was announced in June and yet lots of Myanmar nationals were still hesitant to believe that it would actually happen. However, the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority of Singapore has just issued a statement to make it official.
Yep, starting from Dec 1, Myanmar nationals no longer require a visa to travel to Singapore for up to 30 days’ stay, and vice versa.
This is great news for Myanmar and Singapore citizens who often travel between the two countries for business or to visit family or to buy furniture from IKEA (okay, maybe no one travels to Myanmar to do that last one).
