Hong Kong authorities were left scratching their heads after the discovery of a shipment of 12 armoured military vehicles and other strategic commodities in Kwai Chung yesterday.
The vehicles arrived last night on a container ship from Kaohsiung, Taiwan, and were reportedly bound for Singapore.
FactWire (as quoted by Ming Pao) reports that there was no plan to unload the cargo; but customs, acting on a tip, inspected it and launched an investigation. The shipment comprised 12 containers — these held the vehicles and various other military accessories, which allegedly includes explosives.
