Back in May, animal lovers everywhere watched in horror as footage emerged of a half-naked man beating up a husky in his own backyard in front of two other dogs.
Maimunah Mohadi caught the whole thing on film and posted it on Facebook, where it went viral as netizens were horrified at the multiple punches and kicks the dog endured. The man — Chiam Choon San Alan — even choked the dog by lifting it up by its leash, with the poor critter yelping in pain.
According to the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority of Singapore (AVA), the 41-year-old has since been charged with one count of animal abuse and one count of non-compliance with dog licensing and control rules.
