Get your dose of old school jazz melodies at this beneficiary gig in support of migrant workers. Featuring plenty of folk, blues, soul and funk by Dru Chen, bittymacbeth and Shak & The Baits, the night will showcase everything from original tunes to renditions of classics by Marvin Gaye, Donny Hathaway and James Brown.
A debut event put together by Melodrumatic — which was started by Chen and his partner, Melyssa Goh — this charity concert seeks to raise at least $10,000 for HealthServe, a local non-profit organisation that provides for migrant workers through medical care, counseling, social assistance and other support services.
