Two enterprising youths had the unwise idea of selling illicit police insignia items — including police medals and service ribbons — on various online platforms.
Since neither were the official vendors nor had the license to sell them, reports were lodged against them. Officers discovered the identities of the online sellers and managed to nab them — one was aged 15 while the other was 19.
"The Police would like to advise members of public that the sale of police insignia items without a license is an offence under the Police Force Act, which carries an imprisonment term not exceeding 3 years, or with fine not exceeding $10,000, or both".
