Avant-garde Chinese instrumental trio SA have always been an interesting outfit to watch live — the three of them compose music that's cosily seated at the junction of traditional and experimental. It's offbeat and innovative, yet deeply rooted in classical Chinese music.
After years of blowing minds around the arts circuit, they released their album Flow earlier in June; a three-parter that's recorded fully improvised, and an archive of the spontaneous harmonies and melodies bounced off each other during a point in time.
