A mother of a child afflicted with rare neurodevelopmental disorder, Williams syndrome, had an unfortunate encounter with a stranger who wasn't able to empathise with kids with special needs.
Janet Yeo recounted on Facebook about an incident that recently happened to her friend, where a lady berated both the child for 'misbehaving' and his mother for being 'incompetent'. The nosy auntie saw the child playing with a spinning fan behind the cashier's counter at a 7-Eleven outlet, and thought that the kid was just being naughty. The truth was that the kid is a regular at the 7-Eleven store, and its staff are familiar with him and his mother.
