[field_image]A new drug known by its street name "Tab" that produces stronger side effects than "Ecstasy", is believed to have caused the six deaths at the Future Music Festival Asia (FMFA) in KL over the weekend. 14 — nine Singaporean — were hospitalised. Two of the Singaporeans are said to be in critical condition.   Autopsies conducted on the six victims confirmed that drug overdose was the cause of death and that the drug involved was "Tab" not methamphetamine.  The drug believed to be new to KL has caused deaths in Hong Kong and the UK.  Following the incident, organisers acted upon police advice and cancelled the third and last day of the music festival. 29 people — 13 Malaysians and 16 foreigners — were arrested for drug abuse at the event held at Bukit Jalil Stadium. Investigations are ongoing, pending toxicology reports on the new illegal substance. Photo: FMFA Facebook page Source: The Malay Mail Online
