The government is looking into decreasing the waiting time for public housing, and that means couples and families planning to bid for Build-To-Order (BTO) flats can look forward to getting them in two to three years instead of three to four years. According to National Development Minister Lawrence Wong, this move, when implemented, will bring forward construction and building ahead of certain BTO launches.
But there will still be a range of BTO flats with varying waiting times to offer more options for home buyers, as it's not possible to build all the flats within such a short period of time.
