[field_image]You can't (and shouldn't) ignore it any longer.  Our ponds and reservoirs are starting to look abysmal and green grass is an illusion — the 'dry spell' or whatever they're calling it nowadays, is real.  Which is why the government's going big with World Water Day, happening in Singapore tomorrow, March 15. Five key sites — Geylang River, Jurong Lake, Marina Barrage, Punggol Waterway and Yishun Pond — will host carnivals with activities such as windmill and rain garden workshops, energy audits by local company Intraix, sails, storytelling and Zumba. Through this and various other efforts with the massive outreach, national water agency PUB hopes its message of water conservation will reach some 200,000 people.  But we think the best way you can contribute to the cause is by gathering the family (or your housemates) together to go through the water-saving checklist — PUB chief Chew Men Leong said the water demand in Singapore in recent weeks has been at a level that's higher than usual, even in dire times. Check out PUB's Facebook page for more ways you can help conserve water.
