The annual Singapore River Festival returns with an opening act that sees a tightrope extended across the waters for the first time ever. As part of French performance theatre group Underclouds Cie's debut in Asia, 'Crossings' will feature a mix of tightrope acrobatics, music effects and multimedia projections by a husband-and-wife duo. Pretty cool, huh.
Set to the theme of 'River Connections', the fest also sees the return of the Singapore River Signatures, in recognition of some of the best dishes offered at riverside restaurants. For this year's edition, 21 items have been chosen by four well-known local chefs: Anthony Yeoh, Bjorn Shen, Cheryl Koh and Nixon Low. Guess that makes it easier for you to pick out where to eat for your next meal.
