The latest (and definitely not the last) one that recently went viral was encountered by Sheryl Chen, who related her upsetting experience on Facebook.
An elderly Chinese man had apparently exploded in unprovoked rage at a foreigner on a bus, yelling rudely at the latter for speaking on the phone. When the foreigner stood up for himself, the uncle simply said that foreigners should know their place, and that they should respect him as an elderly Singaporean.
