A Grassland Express & Tours bus overturned on a highway in Malaysia yesterday afternoon, injuring its 12 Singaporean passengers who were heading home from Genting Highlands.
Authorities believe that the double-decker bus had skidded on the highway near Bukit Tinggi before hitting a road divider and overturned, reports Bernama. The crash occured during dry weather, says Gombak police chief ACP Ali Ahmad, who added that the bus was not even speeding. The incident took place just half an hour after the passengers boarded the bus.
A spokesman from the tour bus company have assured that none of the passengers were critically injured, and all the victims were taken to four hospitals — Kuala Lumpur Hospital, Sungai Buloh Hospital, Bentong Hospital and Selayang Hospital.
