The Malaysian budget airline went all out by promising free flights for all Asean Olympic winners. CEO Tony Fernandes took to his Facebook page to express his admiration for the Southeast Asian athletes who competed in the recently concluded games in Rio, thanking them for "making us dream and believe".
"What an Olympics this was for Asean," Fernandes wrote. "AirAsia, which has its roots in Asean, wants to reward those who gave us so much joy".
