Feeling chilly lately? Commuters on the Circle Line certainly were, when ice showers blasted out from air-conditioner vents of several trains.
According to The Straits Times, at least two cases occurred last month on the French-designed, China-made trains. One was going from Bartley to Kent Ridge on a Saturday morning when ice shards shot out from a vent, causing the train to be evacuated mid-way. Another was travelling from Bras Basah to Serangoon on Monday afternoon when frozen particles dropped from the ceiling.
