It's a most convenient place to arrange meet-ups after making deals online, but apparently buyers and sellers can be fined for carrying out transactions at MRT stations. Soz, Carousellers (and Carou..buyers?)
In fact, it seems like the exponential popularity of Carousell and a bevy of other online marketplaces have been causing a proper headache to MRT station staff in recent times. Commuter safety, security and crowding are the main concerns for operators when buyers and sellers loiter at busy MRT stations. Most times, they even deal across fare gates so neither of them need to tap in or tap out.
