Yesterday morning, both the North-South and East-West Lines were affected by three services disruptions over the course of five hours. Of course, lots of people were unhappy, and they took to social media to voice their frustrations.
The first track fault surfaced 8.54am, when SMRT tweeted there was no train service between Boon Lay and Joo Koon stations. A mere four minutes later, another tweet warned commuters to expect extra 10 minutes travel time between Yishun and Woodland stations due to another track fault. Thankfully, free bus services were available.
The delays came to an end relatively quickly for the East-West Line, with service resuming at 9.37am, but those on the North-South Line had to endure slow-moving trains until 10.35am, when things finally went back to normal.
